What rentalcapratecalculator.com (the "Site") collects — and the longer list of what it deliberately does not — is laid out below. We keep this policy short and plain and built the tool to be private by default.

The numbers you enter stay in your browser

The calculator runs entirely as client-side code. The property price, rent, expenses, financing terms, and every other figure you type are processed locally on your device to display your results. We do not transmit, store, log, or have any access to those inputs on our servers — there is no server-side database of your deals. Choosing "copy link" bundles whatever you have entered into a shareable link that stays entirely under your control; that link travels nowhere unless you send it yourself.

No accounts, no personal data

There is no sign-up, login, or contact form on this Site, so we do not ask for or collect your name, email address, or any other personal identifier in order to use the calculator. If you email us voluntarily, we use your message only to respond to you.

Analytics and cookies

To understand which pages are useful and how the Site performs, we may use a privacy-respecting analytics service such as Google Analytics. Analytics may set cookies or similar identifiers and collect aggregate, non-identifying technical data — for example, the pages visited, approximate region, device type, browser, and referring website. This data is used in aggregate to improve the tool and is never linked to the financial figures you enter in the calculator. You can block cookies in your browser settings or use a content blocker without losing any calculator functionality.

Our web host and content-delivery network may also process standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability, as is normal for any website.

Advertising

To keep this calculator free, the Site may show ads supplied by outside advertising partners, Google among them. Such a partner, together with the vendors it works with, can place and read cookies or comparable identifiers in your browser to choose ads and measure how they perform, and the ads you see can reflect pages you have viewed here and on other sites. None of the deal numbers you enter — price, rent, expenses, financing — are ever shared with an advertiser; the ad layer is walled off from the calculator's data.

You can switch off personalized Google ads in Google Ads Settings, opt out of many other vendors through the DAA opt-out and the NAI opt-out, or block cookies in your browser — the calculator keeps working either way.

Children

This Site is intended for adults evaluating real-estate decisions and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your choices and changes to this policy

Because we don't hold your calculator inputs, there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf — clearing your browser data removes any locally stored state.
